Reflections, Conté pastels on grit paper

Every summer my extended family and I make a pilgrimage to a shack at Coles Bay for a few days. This includes my grandfather, Christopher Selby (the sculptor). Rarely can I catch a glimpse of Grandpa without a book in hand. A good piece of literature will keep his attention for hours. But a view this good holds his gaze. Captivated by the coast’s beauty, he rests his book on his lap and watches the rolling waves in true relaxation.
