Skye Becquet – Pieces of She...
Skye Becquet is a 29-year-old mother of two, who, after travelling extensively along the East Coast of Australia, moved to Derby in north-east Tasmania five years ago. She is a self-taught artist. Painting is in her bones, a necessity, like breathing air. Art is her passion, therapy, meditation, who she is. Skye is an artist of many mediums and styles, depending on moods and moments, who is also passionate about her music, songwriting and poetry. Each of these creative endeavours feeds and inspires one another. She sees art as a form of visual music, able to express and convey emotive stories and journeys. Having only recently been encouraged to share and show her work she is one of the emerging artists proudly represented by the Painted Door Gallery. Keen to explore all and any mediums, to learn, express and create, she is the girl who walks one step down one thousand paths...
