Jim Wilkinson MLC, lawyer, sportsman, family man, good bloke. A well-loved, well-lived face. This isn’t John Cleese. This is a man who takes thirty minutes for a five-minute walk because everyone loves a chat, shares a story and shakes his hand. This busy man always has time for a friend and makes you feel like he really cares about ‘that footy game back then’ with an old mate. If you have not met Jim Wilkinson, no doubt some day you will, or your mate has, or your dad played footy with him. Jim knows people from all walks of life; from his days as an athlete, his fellow politicians, his constituents or the clients he defends in the court rooms. Nobody has a bad word to say about Jim Wilkinson and most have story they can share with or about him. If Hobart has celebrities – Jim is one.
